Expert report on a salt deposit

The aim was to demonstrate the ineffectiveness of planned sealing measures for approx. 50 deposit boreholes up to a depth of 250 m at a cost of approx. €15 mio.

• Analyse the situation and establish a project strategy
• Build a deposit and hydrogeology model
• Evaluate approx. 100,000 water level readings and production data
• Process the well extensions and their graphic representation
• Build a 3D density MODFLOW model
• Set up a monitoring programme

The ineffectiveness of the planned measures was established and the implementation costs were avoided.
